Dr. Darren Ezer is board-certified in Anesthesiology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) and is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Pain Management (DAAPM). He also holds certification in Pain Management from the Canadian Academy of Pain Management (CAPM).
With more than 20 years of clinical experience, Dr. Ezer and the Ketamine Health team have administered over 15,000 ketamine infusions, making the clinic one of Canada’s most experienced centres in this field. His expertise spans anesthesiology, pain medicine, and innovative treatments for patients with complex or treatment-resistant mental health conditions.
Dr. Ezer earned his medical degree at the University of Ottawa and completed his anesthesiology residency at the University of Toronto. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) and is actively engaged in research on the effects of ketamine on mental health symptom improvement. He has also lectured in hospital settings on the clinical applications of ketamine.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Ezer trained and practiced as a family physician, giving him a strong foundation in whole-person care. Widely regarded for his evidence-based, compassionate, and trauma-informed approach, he designs every treatment plan to prioritize safety, comfort, and long-term recovery.
